Roberto Ochoa - Director
A team of marine wildlife ambassadors prepare themselves for a great feat. Pierre Cousteau, son of the world famous scuba diver, Jacques Cousteau, and internationally renowned free-divers show us how man and nature can reunite and co-exist with marine wildlife. They take us back to where the concept of evolution was born, the Galapagos Islands – posing the question: Can we all learn to co-exist with nature within our lifetime before we destroy it?.

Where it all began, the experience of the true wilderness and wildlife
Ecuador hosts some of the richest marine ecosystems in the world. The Galapagos Islands are home to 2,900 known species of fish and marine mammals, not to mention endemic seabirds, marine iguanas and penguins (the only ones who live north of the equator in the wild)!
Of these species, 57 are on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. As one of the most important marine parks in the world, we need to bolster the protection of its marine wildlife so it can live and thrive without human threats or intervention.
Narrator and Writer
Pierre-Yves Cousteau is the youngest son of Jacques-Yves Cousteau who constantly works to find innovative solutions for sustainable development, specifically for the protection of marine ecosystems which are the foundations that support human survival and well-being.
